Put down the utensils and prepare for a meal of bite-size hors d’oeuvres that pack a flavorful punch. The innovative Thrive Dining™ program, exclusive to Watermark Retirement Communities® is geared toward residents with cognitive and neuromuscular challenges. By eliminating the use of utensils and preparing food in more friendly way, seniors enjoy meal time with dignity and simplicity. The menu was recently introduced at Watermark communities in Ankeny, Waukee and Pella, where trained chefs start with traditional dishes like Beef Wellington or Grilled Salmon and transform them into Thrive Dining™ style meals intended to be eaten by hand.
“We are pleased to offer this innovative, quality-of-life enhancing Thrive Dining™ meal service to our residents and neighbors,” David Barnes, president and CEO of Watermark Retirement Communities said. “We strive to create extraordinary communities where our residents thrive, and to be positive contributors to our neighbors.”
